Day 6

Woke up at 8.35am today, not only were me and my roommates late for my class, we were penalized 10RMB for late coming, contributing to the class fund as in the process. As we have a cultural exchange programme with the china students, the lesson in the afternoon was cancel so that we can have sufficient preparation for our presentation to the Wuhan student. Steamboat for lunch at a restaurant near Jian Er shang chang. The restaurant is classier then the one we had previously with better hygiene as their utensils are wrapped in cling wrap. Better services are also provided by the staff there. However, with the improvement in quality of service, the prices of the food and charge increase too. Meet up with our group mate to rehearse on our dance item for the cultural exchange after the steamboat. Meet up with the local students and proceed to the lecture theater for the performance. The performance turns out to be hilarious and everybody inside the theater was laughing. We ended the performance with the dance.






My Reflection There is a very strict policy imposed regarding our punctuality for lessons or any other meeting time. This is to nurture our sense of time and be more aware about the seriousness and importance of punctuality. For example, during the pre-trip of this Wuhan Overseas Immersion Programme, every one was supposed to compose a reflection essay on the areas of improvement that we wish to see ourselves progress after the 42 days trip. Therefore for my case, I had mentioned in that particular reflection report that I had wish to improve myself on my understanding and cautiousness about punctuality. This is because I know that if one person is late, he or she will surely affect the progress of the whole group of people and it will simply delays the schedule way further back. Hence, the time wasted due to lateness will be snowballed and accumulated which will lead to an inefficient team which slows down the entire speed of working. Thus, I am hundred percent supporting of the drastic measures of imposing fines for students as this will encourage students to be more punctual or in fact, be earlier to reach the meeting place because it is always a good practice to feel prepared and ready for the upcoming challenges ahead of us. In addition, fining the students by monetary asset such as will allow the students to be more wary and careful of the heavy punishment installed for them by being late .Hence, I believe that this regulation will indeed serves as a very motivating factor to be punctual from now onwards.
