Day 29

We had our practical test first thing in the morning. The test last for two hours from 9.30am to 11.30am. After the test, we have our lunch break before we return to the class for to finish up the last chapter of Project Management, team and diversity. We did an activity in which all of us is group with our individual groups to discuss and write on a piece of paper what we think make a successful team. We also need to think of a word to describe our group mates. After the lesson, decide to go to Sourceme, a local salon introduce to us by the local student, to get our hair done.

My Reflection

Unlike normal hair salons in Singapore, they provide us with a high level of service and not only that their staffs are very friendly and approachable. Every one of us were able to sense how experienced these hairdressers were as they would give us a clear and sharp answer without hesitation at all whenever we throw a difficult question to them. What was so extremely touching is that the hair salon actually extended their working hours just especially for us students who spent almost the entire day in their store. Despite the fact that they knew that we were just foreign students and most probably would not return back to the store again and hence no customer loyalty at all, they still did their very best in cutting and styling our hair to the perfection. As the hairdressing salon is located within a shopping mall itself, even if the whole shopping mall lights dimmed and all the shutters of the stores were down with not a single soul left in the mall except for us, we had to exit by its back door out. Hence, we were really touched by their kind actions and everybody left the hair salon with great satisfactions and a big grin on their faces as they had exceeded our expectations from them.
